Service with a Smile

I am thankful that my business continues to grow. I put in a lot of hard work and long hours. This is no surprise to many entrepreneurs. I laugh when my mother asks me, “Why can’t you get all of your work done during the day?” It doesn’t always work that way. I don’t know about you, but I learn something new every day. I want to share some tips that I have picked up along the way.

You have to know your worth. (I’ve said this before, but it never gets old.) Not everyone will be able to afford your services or realize the value of what you do. That is okay. You have to pick up the pieces and move on. Not all money is good money. Entrepreneurs, you cannot sacrifice your core beliefs for a dollar.

You have to stand up for yourself and sometimes, you just have to say “NO, I simply can’t do that.” You will have to make the tough decisions that are best for your company and staff. I don’t want to sound contradictory, but, at the end of the day, don’t forget about good customer service. If you put on that smile and provide excellent service, clients/customers will understand when you have to be firm and say no.
